Clean & Reuse
Give your candleholders a second life
Candleholders are often beautiful and it is such a waste to toss it once the wax is used up. It is actually very easy to get them cleaned and use them for other purposes
One of the many benefits of coconut wax is that it is easy to clean due to its soft nature and very low melting point.
At the end of the burn, allow the glass jar to cool and carefully pour out the wax and its content onto a paper towel, wipe clean the remaining residue in the jar and wash it with soap.
If the wax hardens before you can clean it -
Put the candle in the freezer. When wax freezes, it shrinks, then you can easily use a butter knife to apply pressure at the edge of the wax, pop it out or break into smaller pieces and dispose them into trash.
Or dip the jar into hot water and due to the wax's low melting point, it will liquified very soon. Then you can pour it out onto a paper towel, wipe clean the residue in the jar and wash with soap.
Or you can also just use a hair dryer to melt the wax when it is left with very little coconut wax in the container. Due to the low melting point, it will liquified very fast then you can pour out and wipe clean.
With the clean jar, you can now use it to store your crystals, accessories, coins, sweets, or use it for another candle refill from our shop.
If you are unable to reuse the containers, please recycle them.
For your crystals, wash them with soap and hold onto them as special keepsake. Cleanse them regularly with sage, palo santo, sunlight, moonlight or water to recharge their energies. You can also reuse them together with your existing jar for another candle refill from our shop.
